"With my patients I want to address the concerns that may not get addressed in a typical office visit - not just the numbers of their blood pressure and the numbers of their blood count and other numbers here and there. For me, medicine is more than that. I want to know who my patients are - what their experiences have been, what their lifestyles are like, what their activities and interests are. We truly try to practice excellence here, and knowing my patients helps me practice the best medicine possible."

I usually sit down with my patients, and we may talk first about what they're doing or what their kids are doing because I'm interested in their big picture, not just their sore throats."

I find the most rewarding aspect of primary care medicine is building relationships with my patients through regular visits over the course of many years.
