Roderick Lamond, MD, FRSC (C)
Dr. Lamond is an experienced board certified neurosurgeon who treats diseases of the brain, peripheral nerves and spine. He received his medical degree from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His general surgery residency was completed at McMaster University and his neurosurgical residency was completed at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He completed two fellowships, one in peripheral nerve-brachial plexus/brain tumor at the University of Toronto, and a second in cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada.
For more than two decades, Dr. Lamond has dedicated his efforts to intracranial (vascular and tumor), spinal and peripheral nerve disorders. Dr. Lamond has also been involved in academic neurosurgical research and teaching for more than 12 years at the University of California as an associate professor of neurological surgery. He has been in neurosurgery private practice for the past 13 years. With more than 25 years of neurosurgical experience, Dr. Lamond is available for aneurysms and AVMs, acoustic neuromas, pituitary tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, skull base surgical disorders, cervical and lumbar disk herniation, complex spinal disorders and spinal tumors, brachial plexus and peripheral nerve tumors and entrapments. New consultations will be seen immediately.
In his free time Dr. Lamond enjoys an active lifestyle skiing, hiking, playing competitive sports and is a cycling, fitness, and yoga instructor.
Mark C. Watts, MD
Dr. Watts earned his bachelor's degree in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University in New Haven, CT, and his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, CA. Dr. Watts then went on to complete a general surgery internship and neurosurgical residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he also completed his fellowship in neuro-oncology. Prior to coming to Denver, he was a member of the senior staff at Henry Ford Hospital where he worked at the Hermelin Brain Tumor Center and was the Director of Geriatric Neurosurgery.
Prior to joining the Exempla Physician Network, he spent the previous seven years with Kaiser Permanente at Exempla Saint Joseph Hospital, where he was selected as a “5280 Top Doctor” in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Dr. Watts’ clinical interests include the treatment of cervical spine diseases, brain and spine tumors, and hydrocephalus. Dr. Watts enjoys patient-centered care. “Being skilled at listening to the patient and his or her family is always as important as being adept in interpreting tests and skilled in performing surgery.”
When not in the office, Dr. Watts enjoys spending time with his family and their Great Dane, Sysco.
